Presidential Primary, February 2024, Early Voting
Beginning with the Presidential Primary on February 27, 2024, a new Michigan law provides for nine (9) days of optional in-person “early voting” ahead of each State and Federal election (see calendar below. Note that the day before the regular election date is not an early voting day.) Sandstone Charter Township and Spring Arbor Township will be jointly administering the election during the early voting period. The polling place for early voting is 107 E. Main, Spring Arbor, Michigan. Early voting procedures are just like Election Day – each voter will complete a voter application, present identification (or complete an affidavit regarding the absence of ID), mark his or her ballot, and place it into the tabulator.
On the scheduled “regular” election date of Tuesday, February 27, any Sandstone Township voter who did not vote early in Spring Arbor, or by absentee ballot, may vote in person at his or her regular polling place in Sandstone Township, i.e., for Precinct 1 or 2 at the Sandstone Township Offices at 7940 County Farm Road, or for Precinct 3 at the Parma-Sandstone Fire Dept. at 297 N. Union St.
